ABOUT
Devan Jimenez is a ceramic artist from Fort Lauderdale, with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics & Sculpture from the University of Central Florida. She currently lives and works out of Broward County.
I believe that an artists greatest tool of inspiration is their own environment and experiences. I am particularly inspired from nature and being outdoors and how we as people interact with and impact our environment. I take a neutral glance at this topic and invite my viewers to make their own decisions about whether that relationship (man and nature) is good or bad.
I've always considered myself to be an outdoorsy person, and I spend much of my time hiking and collecting things that I come across and it is usually these small things that inspire my works.
